Who is responsible
FoundSquare is responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email info@foundsquare.com.
What we collect and why
- Newsletter. If you sign up, we store your email address and the topics you picked, so we can send you the updates you asked for. Legal basis: your consent. You can unsubscribe with the link in every email.
- Starter Kit. If you download a Starter Kit, we store your email address, the business type and the numbers you entered, so we can generate your PDF and, only if you opt in, send updates. Legal basis: your request and, for updates, your consent.
- Emails to us. If you email us, we keep the conversation to answer you.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser and the page requested, to keep the site secure and running. Clicks on supplier links are logged by product, without personal data. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, secure site.
Cookies and local storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores your light/dark theme choice locally; it never leaves your device. When you follow a link to a supplier, that supplier's own cookie and privacy policy apply on their site.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel: website hosting
- Cloudflare: content delivery and database
- Brevo: newsletter delivery
These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Some may process data outside the EU under the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Newsletter and Starter Kit data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Emails: up to two years after our last contact. Server logs: as long as the hosting provider keeps them, usually a few weeks.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@foundsquare.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
We update this page when what we collect changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
